Scenario: designing an apartment for a young couple planning a short stay before transitioning to a new residence and renting out the studio, with the primary objective being the creation of a bright and comfortable living space.
Challenges: navigating the limited space in the studio while juggling multiple functions, including accommodating guests for overnight stays; dealing with the constraints of an old residential building where alterations to "wet" areas (bathrooms) are prohibited.
SANDD approach: we opted for a seamless integration of space into a unified zone. Merging the kitchen-living room and bedroom, we used glass sliding doors (with dimming function) to separate the bed from the main area. A sofa was strategically placed for guests, and a tall table served both as a work and dining space, effectively transforming the studio into a versatile area suitable for various purposes.

Scenario: designing of an apartment tailored for a woman who frequently entertains guests. The primary objectives was the creation of a space embodying classical aesthetics harmoniously intertwined with contemporary elements.
Challenges: the initial spaciousness designed for a single occupant posed constraints when accommodating a larger group of visitors. The challenge lay in orchestrating an efficient organization of storage spaces while preserving an optimal sense of spatial freedom.
SANDD approach: the selection of a neoclassical style emerged as the foundation for an elegant interior accentuated by natural elements and materials. Noteworthy was the proprietor's emphasis on the importance of a refreshing atmosphere and a connection to nature. In response, strategic modifications were executed to address augmented storage requirements.
A prime example is the incorporation of a glass-windowed dressing room seamlessly integrated into the master bedroom. This innovative solution not only contributed to additional storage capacity but also preserved an open and airy ambiance through transparent surfaces. The resultant outcome reflects a judicious fusion of practicality with the proprietor's desire for a naturalistic ambiance.

Scenario: designing an apartment for an active businesswoman with a passion for art and unique decor, who frequently hosts lively gatherings for family and friends.
Challenges: in a relatively compact space, the task was to seamlessly blend various functions—living, working, and entertaining—without overwhelming the apartment.
SANDD approach: we strategically divided the apartment into distinct functional zones. A portion of the expansive kitchen-living area was separated by a glass wall to create a spacious study. One living room wall was transformed into a home library. Adhering to construction standards that prohibited dismantling the wall between the main room and the balcony, we ingeniously organized a small tea room in this area—ideal for hosting tea parties and enjoying the splendid view.

Scenario: crafting a beach residence for an energetic couple with an adult daughter, aiming to evoke the warm essence of summer.
Challenges: confronting a notably humid climate that imposes constraints on material choices and the need to organise a highly practical space accommodating the family's active lifestyle, alongside their sizeable canine companion.
SANDD approach: embracing a Mediterranean style as a foundation, incorporating natural elements such as clay decor, natural stone and ceramic tiles. This not only addressed the primary challenge of high humidity but also ensured a well-planned heating system with features like warm floors and walls, air conditioning and drying systems to maintain an optimal level of temperature and humidity throughout the house.

Scenario: an apartment in the city center for a young active couple, whose main desire was to have a space completely ready for move-in, thought out to the smallest detail.
Challanges: despite the sufficient total footage of the apartment, each individual room is relatively small, while simultaneously performing several functions.
SANDD approach: we tried to make every meter efficient. For example, the adjacent space was used in the kitchen area. The owners' passion for cooking required the placement of a large amount of equipment and kitchen utensils. Using decorative panels and other solutions, we accommodated all the appliances. without loading the space visually.
